About Sree Chaitanya Degree College

Sri Chaitanya Educational Society was started during the year 2000 and was registered under the Society Registration Act. The members of the society are all being highly donated, financially sound, and well experienced in the teaching profession as well as Administrative field, have among other objectives like promoting education and educationists strong intension to run and manage higher educational institutions.

The College took the opportunity of having the efficient and good academic guidance of Prof. C. Jogulu, of Physics (Retd.,) Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. In accordance with the educational motive and aim, the society started the college and named as Sree Chaitanya Degree College, at the centre point of Vizianagaram town, with eminent, efficient and well qualified Teaching staff. Further, educationally eminent personnel of famous organizations and distinguished academicians from prestigious institutions have been invited to give guest lecturers on the important topics of the science, as this college is meant entirely for science subjects.

The college has good and victorious starting with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics & Computer Science, which received a very good response from the present student society of not only local, but also by the students of suburban areas as well as rural areas. It is a remarkable thing to note that about 90% of students admitted are from areas other than Vizianagaram (local), and that too most of them are availing SC/ ST/ B.C. scholarships facility etc., During this academic year of 2001-2002, the craze for science, and computer science, is increased in the student generation, in view of the advanced trend in technology that across, this college could get one more section for M.P.C. and extra seats in computer science section to cater the desired and enthusiastic public, that came forward and pressed the management to provide seats.

During the academic year 2003-2004, the college could get another additions section for M.P.C. totaling to 4 M.P.C. sections in the college, in view of the craze of public towards physics, chemistry with Mathematics combination. It is not out of place to mention here that the college could get 80% pass - result for its I year Batch out of which most of the students could stand in I & II class rank. In no time, there is a remarkable growth in the student strength and Institution gained prestigious and panoramic development with good name and fame, under the dynamic and efficient disciplinary administration of the management of Sree Chaitanya Educational Society.
